Stenter Frame Oven Burner for a Textile Finishing Line

An 8-zone stenter oven needed even heat to set fabric without curling edges. Baltur modulating burners with an integrated Dungs combo valve gave stable zone temperatures and saved gas.

The challenge

01

Uneven zone heat curled fabric edges and spoiled finish consistency.

02

The old two-stage burners could not track line-speed changes smoothly.

03

Gas-pressure dips tripped shutdowns and broke the finishing run.

04

Energy cost per metre was above target.

What we supplied & did

01

Fitted Baltur TBG120 modulating burners across the 8 stenter zones.

02

Used Dungs integrated combo valves to absorb upstream pressure dips.

03

Added pressure monitoring and Honeywell flame detection with interlock cutoff.

04

Tuned high/low-load curves on site to even each zone's hot-air band.

Measured results

What changed on the line

Zone heat: Even, no curl Load range: 20-100% smooth Gas saving: ≈ 10% NOx: Compliant

All eight zones hold even heat; edge curl and finish rejects dropped.

Modulating burners follow line-speed changes without hunting.

Combo valves absorbed pressure dips, ending unexplained shutdowns.

Gas use fell about 10% over the finishing campaign.
